About "WE"

Our goal is to help facilitate collaboration in awareness,
understanding and discussion about the barriers to authentic
equity, inclusion and diversity within policing in Ontario.

Equity is Everyone's Issue

A symptom of a lack of equity and inclusion in policing is the underrepresentation of diverse and varied groups.
In Canada, 50% of our population is female yet represented in only 21% of policing with only 15% of women in leadership roles. Underrepresentation is occurring despite women being in policing for over 100 years.

Let's Get It #Together

Questioning exclusionary practices for the professionalization of policing comes at a critical time.
"Policing in Canada is experiencing a crisis of credibility, both internally and in the public eye
arising from the existence of exclusionary environments within police organizations"
CACP Global Studies 2018  - Diversity is a Canadian Reality: Inclusion is a Choice,  pp4

  Vision: Authentically Inclusive Policing

Mission: An inclusive collaboration in achieving
police workplace equity.

"WE" are committed to support and empower every member of the police community regardless of gender, race, age, sexual orientation, group membership,  politics, or positional status to engage an inclusive and collaborative police narrative about equity in our workplace. "WE"  intend to generate a dialogue for innovative, practical and sustainable solutions for equity and inclusion as it relates to investigation, exploration, learning, consulting and measuring.
